A day in the life

Working as a ReStore Associate, no two days are ever the same! A typical day will include the following responsibilities:

  • Work on our Habitat for Humanity ReStore warehouse sales floor, responsible for interacting with customers on a daily basis and maintaining a positive work environment.

  • Responsible for inventory management and pricing of donated building materials, appliances, lighting, and more.

  • Problem solve and able to pivot based on each day’s current requirements as inventory and frequency of drop-offs and pickups change.

  • Assess value of donations and assign a price based on assessment.

  • Looking for creative thinkers who enjoy striving for efficiency as well as goal oriented.

  • Must be customer focused, provide exceptional customer service by promptly greeting and assisting customers and donors with any of their needs.

  • Ability to bend, lift, move product between containers and work on one's feet for an entire shift; often standing in a stationary position and lift and move up to 75 pounds of products on a regular basis.

  • You pass a background check, including but not limited to: criminal, driving, credit.

  • You are bilingual - English and Spanish, preferred but not required.
