We're keeping our home building momentum going and are excited to reopen our homeowner application window! We're offering four – count 'em, FOUR – orientation sessions in October to help those interested in becoming a Habitat homeowner understand the requirements, process, and timeline before spending time and energy on an application.
For example, someone might realize the process is not a “quick fix” to their current situation or they might realize they make too much or too little income based on their family size. We can answer questions and perhaps even help them access other resources.
We have two homes currently under construction for new owners: one has three bedrooms and two baths; one has two bedrooms and one bath. Both are located in North Little Rock and there will be more homes to come.
Attendance at one of these sessions is required prior to application:
Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m., at the Little Rock ReStore
Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., at the Little Rock ReStore
Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m., at the Little Rock ReStore
Wednesday, Oct. 16, at noon, at the Laman Library, NLR
It’s an exciting time for us because we know the difference an affordable, decent home can mean to families. Make no mistake: together, we (and I mean YOU donors and volunteers, plus our staff and homebuyers) build homes, communities, and hope.
