Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas is excited to announce that it has been awarded a social determinants of health grant from the Blue and You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas. Social determinants of health are factors that influence health outcomes in our community. Multiple studies confirm that stable, affordable housing is a determinant of better health, education, economic, social, and civic outcomes.
This game-changing grant will help build seven safe, energy-efficient, and affordable homes for low-to-moderate income families. What makes this grant so impactful is that it will provide funding for expenses that are not normally covered by state, federal, or private grant funds during the construction process. We are so grateful for the support of the Arkansas Blue and You Foundation.
