Number 232

Updated: Sep 6, 2022

Meet Catricia! She is our newest homeowner: Number 232!

Catricia and her two children, 14 and 12, are likely moving boxes and furnishings as we type. Catricia is an enthusiastic, never-say-never kind of mom. She moved to Little Rock on faith several years ago from south Arkansas and says good things started to happen for her here.

Catricia dared to dream of a home for her family, where they could make memories and feel safe and stable. Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund has helped her through college; now with an affordable home of her own, she talks about her ability to save for her children’s higher education. Her 0% mortgage through Habitat is hundreds of dollars less per month than what she was paying previously in rent AND with each monthly payment she is building equity.

To Catricia and her children…“Oh, the places you’ll go!”

Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas is proud to be a part of your story.

P.S. The construction of Catricia’s home was a collaborative effort. Volunteers included our seasoned construction staff and our regular, long-time volunteers, the “Over the Hill Gang.”

Also contributing time and muscle were other local volunteers, a youth group from Knox Presbyterian of Kansas City, traveling Habitat volunteer Martha Hodges, and even Congressman French Hill.
